When he’s not on the road, Rakitha can be found hard at work in a recording studio experimenting and creating epic recording work! Using percussion instruments and just about anything else he can get his hands on, his sound design projects are used for songs, TV & Radio commercials, Documentary,Movie and tele drama tracks, corporate videos and much more.

Founded by Rakitha in 2007, NAADRO is a renowned Sri Lankan percussion ensemble that is committed to taking percussion locally and globally to the next level while popularizing it amongst the youth. Constantly experimenting, this group is steadfast with their goal to evolve using not just rudimentary percussion instruments but just about anything else to create mind blowing new sounds and Rhythms.NAADRO already have a thick portfolio of Local and international tours and concerts.

Rakitha is not one to forget his roots and is committed to giving back to the world and the industry he grew in. He is heavily involved with community projects where he grooms newcomers to the industry and supports them with workshops ,Drum clinics ,Drum Circles and training programs to give them the industry exposure that they need. While he’s often traveling the world from one gig to the other, making time for his many charity and community projects is always high up on his list of priorities.
